Selecting my favorite photos and culling all the images I deliver to my couples is hands down the hardest part of my job. Often times I have to get help from people are who are not as emotionally invested in my wonderful couples as I am to help pair down the photos. Selecting my favorite photos from the engagement sessions I had in 2015 was no different. This end of the year process helps me understand what photos are my favorite to help me focus to advance this type of work to better strengthen my creative style. I tried to keep the photos below 50 to show only the absolute best because lets face it if I was not strict about it there would be a few hundred photos which kind of defeats the purpose. Upon reflection of this years photos compared to 2014 I feel like I took a huge step forward, which is always my goal. My creativity is more on point, creating a better connection with each couple, and more creative use of light especially in the very hard direct sun light. This part of the creative process always makes me excited to look back on the past years photos but more importantly the photos I’ll be working to creating together with my 2016 couples. Reflecting on my work is an important part of growing as a creative photographer and I want to include you in that journey. Enjoy!
