This post is not to show off the great photos I took this year.

This post is my “Thank You” to all of the lovely and amazing couples who I photographed engagement sessions in 2017. Thank you to them, for trusting me to take your pictures that were used on save the dates, Facebook profiles, framed gifts for parents, and kept as a memento for future generations. Thank you for the honor to document your lives during this very special time.

Thank you for the faith you placed in me – it enabled us to capture the best possible images. Also, thank you for laying down on the soggy ground for a photo. Or for withstanding crazy sideways wind. Or for hurling under an umbrella during a downpour (and for simultaneously looking flawlessly romantic). You believed me when I said that terrible weather can actually be the best photographic conditions to hope for – and we were right.

I’m so lucky because each couple is always so positive and are confident in my style. That allows me to freely create the best work. It is truly inspiring – each photo sparks endless possibilities and endless different shots to try.  I probably said “ok one more photo” more than I ever before (which is really saying something). You should all know by now, with me there is never “one more shot”, there are many more shots to come. For your patience and time, I am grateful for that.

This year I got closer to my clients than ever before. I stood back farther than I ever have before. Taking in the unique beauty of each couple up close and from a distance, in the beautiful landscapes, I framed them inside.

After every year I do engagement sessions with my couples I fall more and more in love with shooting them. This year’s engagement sessions are probably my favorite I have ever done in my career. Thank you to everyone who has made that possible. Cheers to many more engagement sessions to come! Please enjoy!
