Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing the special moments of Jason and Kristen’s Hotel Ballard Olympic Rooftop Pavilion Wedding. It was a heartwarming day, particularly because they chose to tie the knot right in the neighborhood they both adored. 

The day started off with Jason getting ready in the morning, accompanied by their adorable dog. It was heartwarming to see how their furry companion added an extra touch of joy to the preparations. Meanwhile, Kristen was getting ready at the beautiful Hotel Ballard Rooftop.

Being a Seattle wedding photographer, every summer wedding brings its own unique charm, but this Ballard wedding truly stood out. The combination of a city wedding, the elegant Hotel Ballard, and the stunning Olympic Rooftop Pavilion created a dream-like atmosphere. The celebration encapsulated the essence of a summer wedding, with the golden sun, laughter, and an abundance of love. Of course, no wedding is complete without capturing some stunning portraits. We took advantage of the picturesque streets of Ballard to create a backdrop that reflected the couple’s love for this neighborhood.

The ceremony itself took place at the Olympic Rooftop Pavilion, a breathtaking location that offered a panoramic view of Ballard. Kristen and Jason shared some inside jokes during the day, including high-fiving each other for their first kiss then following it up with their actual first kiss as a married couple. It was evident that this their love was built on laughter and joy. 

Following the ceremony, dinner was served family-style, allowing everyone to come together and enjoy a delicious meal while basking in the beauty of the sunset. The wedding toasts added an additional layer of emotion and joy to the evening. It was heartwarming to witness the love and support that surrounded Kristen and Jason as their loved ones shared heartfelt words. Of course, a wedding wouldn’t be complete without some fun dancing! Guests hit the dance floor, celebrating the joyous union of Kristen and Jason. 

I am grateful for the opportunity to capture the joy and love shared by Kristen and Jason, as well as the beauty of the neighborhood they hold dear. It was only fitting that they decided to tie the knot in a place that holds so much sentimental value for them. Their Hotel Ballard Olympic Rooftop Pavilion Wedding will live long in my memory.
