I had a ton of fun spending time with the Ormson Family on this warm and sunny day. I first meet the father, Sam, while photographing the Mountain View band on their trip to Indianapolis. We were both Chaperones and he enjoyed the photos I took on the trip. He loved my style so much that he wanted his family documented in the same way.
When I came over I found the whole family already playing in the backyard. It is a fantastic yard with so many different activities to play with and climb on. I found Sam and his youngest son LOGAN up in the tree house drawing and staying cool. LOGAN’s older brother was climbing in the nearby tree. Having grown up in a family with just boys I could instantly relate to these kids and their brotherly ways.
I really enjoyed being invited into their home and capturing their special, yet everyday, interactions. These photos will act act small reminder of their life during that exact time. I know I love looking back at photos of my brothers and I, and I’m honored to create a collection of memories for another family.
