Amanda and John’s Rainier Chapter House wedding in Seattle, Washington was the quintessential fall celebration. The decor was elegant and sleek. The mood, romantic and candle lit. The couple, Amanda and John, were so genuinely sweet and caring. Their families and friends were overjoyed to see these two commit their lives together.
Amanda and John shared their first look on the front porch of the Rainer Chapter House. The elegant white columns of he historic 1925 house framed their moment perfectly. Amanda’s eyes were brimming with tears even in anticipation of seeing John. While John was a blend of excited and anxious to finally see his bride in her beautiful white dress. We ventured around Capital Hill taking portraits on the crisp fall day. When Amanda and John walked past one of the shops, the shop owner came out and surprised them with glasses of Champagne! This was one of those sweet and memorable moments that was unexpected and will will forever be special to the newlyweds .
The ceremony took place on the second floor of the Rainer Chapter House. As a photographer, I couldn’t ask for anything more than this beautiful and clean space. Candles lined the aisle with warm and flickering light. The vows they exchanged echoed the love they share in their relationship. A few more tears gracefully rolled down Amanda’s cheek as John made his promise for their future. By the end, it was nothing but tears as they walked down the aisle together as husband and wife.
The reception at this Rainier Chapter House wedding was just as perfect as the ceremony. Both sets of parents gave touching speeches. The close bond between the parents and their children was obvious in the stories and embraces that were shared. The rest of reception was an absolute blast. I always say you can’t go wrong with a live band. This band proved me right once again. They played the best modern and classic songs that kept the energy high and guests dancing .
One fun surprise arrived late into the reception. Amanda’s dad is a longtime musician. Amanda arranged the band to request her father to play the drums during one song. He was a little coy to accept the request, but when everyone cheered for him to play, he gladly joined the band. After that debut, the band took it away for the rest of the night.
Amanda and John’s sendoff at the end of the night was celebrated with an explosion of confetti cannons. Silver streamers beautifully dripped across the newlyweds and the grand staircase.
