2015 was a year of intense focus on what I do best, story telling. Each of these stories would be nothing without the unique moments of the wedding day, capturing timeless candid photos, and documenting the family and friends who celebrated each union.
As a documentary photographer, my goal was to capture a moment so 30 years from now when you look back on the photos it is not just an indication of what the wedding day looked like, but how it felt. These are more than photos, these are expressions of that moment and how it felt to be surrounded in celebration.
I had the honor of visiting a few new places in the world including Maui, Hawaii; Boulder, Colorado; Silverfalls, Oregon; Leavenworth, Washington and many new local areas around Seattle.
My first pass at selecting my favorite images from 2015 totaled a whopping 250 photos. Pairing down to this 130 was a challenge in itself. These photos represent a combination of my favorite moments, dance moves, exotic landscapes, feelings of love, unique angles, and sense of joyfulness. Basically these are the photos that I’m most proud of from 2015. Building on the momentum from this past year, I couldn’t be more excited and determined to make 2016 just as memorable!
